<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for improving video image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises one or more of filters, each of which receives a video signal and filtrates the same to generate a vertical filter output, a horizontal filter output, and an oblique filter output; one or more amplification components, each of which applies separate gain to each of the vertical filter output, horizontal filter output, and oblique filter output, and generates a vertical direction improvement signal, a horizontal improvement signal, and an oblique direction improvement signal; and one or more total components, each of which generates improved video signal, by combining the vertical direction improvement signal, the horizontal direction improvement signal, and the oblique direction improvement signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
