PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus and an image forming apparatus surely preventing occurrence of wrinkling by strengthening force for pulling a sheet outside. SOLUTION: The fixing apparatus is provided with, for example, a pressurizing roll 72 and an image is fixed to the sheet by having the sheet pass through. The pressurizing roll 72 has continuous recessions and projections formed to give force for pulling the sheet outside and also has a twisted part 96 which is twisted against a rotational direction.
