PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing device capable of easily inputting the staple position with respect to a document, and adequately stapling the document even when a part thereof being broken. SOLUTION: The document processing device 6 comprises a document aligning unit 64 for aligning a series of documents conveyed to an image reading unit 3 by an automatic document conveying unit 62 and discharged therefrom, and a stapler 65 for stapling a document bundle aligned by the document aligning unit 64; and further comprises a stapling information identification means 66 for identifying the stapling information added to the documents, and a stapler control means 67 for controlling the stapler 65 based on the stapling information identified by the stapling information identification means 66.
