The device has a storage chamber (SK) connectable by a manually operable valve (VL) with a gas inlet (GE). The storage chamber is again connected by a gas outlet (SP) having a small outlet cross section with a low pressure side opposite to a cross section of an opening of the manually operable valve. The position of the valve arrangement is determined in a flow path by a gas pressure in the storage chamber. The outlet cross-section of the gas outlet is manually changeable. The manually operable valve is self-closing, and is opened by an operating unit (DS).
