PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth resource thermosiphon system allowing accurate system design to be carried out and allowing an optimum apparatus to be selected. SOLUTION: The condition of a ground 3 of an investigation object is nondestructively detected by using a surface-wave exploration means 4; an S-wave velocity structure of the ground 3 is calculated, by a data analysis means 5, based on detection data detected by the surface-wave exploration means 4; a soil phase distribution of the ground is specified by using a preset soil phase determination standard table in relation to correspondence between the S-wave velocity and the soil phase based on the calculated S-wave velocity structure; an N-value distribution of the ground is specified by using a preset N-value reduction formula or N-value reduction table in relation to correspondence between the S-wave velocity and the N-value; a unit heat absorption/radiation quantity per unit thickness of the ground 3 used as a parameter is estimated based on the soil phase distribution and the N-value distribution specified from a preset heat quantity reduction table in relation to the relationship between the soil phase and the heat quantity and that between the N-value and the heat quantity; and a thermosiphon air-conditioning system using a thermosiphon is designed based on the estimated unit heat absorption/radiation quantity and previously-input air-conditioning load information.
