<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely inspect and control by using a laser range finder whether suitable tools are served for work processes. <P>SOLUTION: Laser range finders 21 and 22 are arranged on one face side of tool shelf 1 partitioned into a plurality of steps, an outline of a hand crosses a ranged surface is detected, and coordinates which the hand has crossed can be detected. By referring tool discrimination codes, in which shelf discrimination information is given to respective plurally-partitioned shelves, for discriminating tools located on the shelves in response to the shelf discrimination information, a tool storage management DB 3 for memorizing the relationship in the range of coordinates of the shelves which the hand has crossed, and a work sequence management DB 4 for memorizing relationship between the work sequence and discrimination numbers of the tool shelves, a PC 6 for processing distance data detected by the laser range finders controls whether or not the suitable tools followed by work procedures are taken from the shelves on the basis of the coordinates of the hand detected by the laser range finders 21 and 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
