PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 for a motorcycle having superior straight line stability and turning performance. SOLUTION: This tire 2 has a tread 4 and a belt 12. The belt 12 has a center ply 28 positioned at the center and a pair of side plies 30 arranged separately in the axial direction. The center ply 28 has a center cord substantially spirally wound along the circumferential direction. The side ply 30 has a side cord inclined to the circumferential direction, and comprises a wide width part 34 and a narrow width part 36 of which axial width is narrower than the wide width part 34. A ratio of the axial width of the center ply 28 to tread width is≥65% and≤85%. A ratio of the axial distance between inner ends 42 of the right and left wide width parts 34 to the tread width is≥40% and≤60%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
