PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting adjustment device which can efficiently regulate the setting of an impact crusher and effectively divert an impact inflicted to a repulsive plate due to causes such as a foreign substance. SOLUTION: This setting asdjustment device incorporates the following structure: a rotor with a plurality of striking plates, is pivoted rotatably inside a main body casing, and a swing arm has its one end pivoted inside the main body casing and also, a repulsive plate fixed in a facing part to the rotor of the swing arm. Further, the swing arm is suspended from the top part of the main body casing by an adjustment rod, and a cylindrical hollow member is installed inside an adjustment casing at the top part of the main body casing. In addition, the adjustment rod is inserted through the hollow part of a cylindrical hollow member from above in the way the adjustment rod is prevented from coming off. Besides, an ascent/descent retaining mechanism for retaining the cylindrical hollow member in an ascendable/descendable manner and an ascent/descent drive means for driving the ascending/descending of the cylindrical hollow member with the help of the ascent/descent retaining mechanism, are provided inside the adjustment casing.
