PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canteen with a handle, which has a simple-structured handle retracting mechanism, is capable of being easily manufactured and mass-produced, and being inexpensively configured and provided. SOLUTION: A shaft pin 5 is provided at one end of a handle body 1, and a bearing hole 6 to pivotally attach the shaft pin 5 is provided at an attaching part 3 of a canteen body 2. The bearing hole 6 is formed into a slot shape, and a projecting edge part 6A is provided in the middle in the longitudinal direction of the bearing hole 6. The middle of the bearing hole 6 is formed as a small diameter part 6B smaller than the diameter of the shaft pin 5. The canteen is provided with the handle retracting mechanism 4 so that the shaft pin 5 located at the front end side of the bearing hole 6 is moved to the rear side of the bearing hole 6 over the small diameter part 6B by moving the handle body 1 to project sideways from the peripheral surface of the canteen body 2, and that the shaft pin 5 is moved to the front end side of the bearing hole 6 over the small diameter part 6B located at the rear side of the bearing hole 6 by moving the handle body 1 along the peripheral surface of the canteen body 2.
