PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a change in composition to approximate to a straight-line gradient such as a linear gradient, as to gradient liquid feeding for performing liquid feeding with a phased change made extremely small in the composition of a solution. SOLUTION: A multiway valve is connected with a plurality of pump units, a supply flow path to an analysis system, and a suction flow path for a solution. While one pump unit performs liquid feeding, another pump unit does a process for sucking a mixed solution. The making of the mixed solution is performed by selectively opening a solution tank communicating therewith by means of a gradient valve. When liquid feeding by one pump unit is finished, a process is done for increasing the pressure of another pump unit to a certain pressure. Through the switching of the multiway valve, the starting of liquid feeding of a relevant pump unit and a suction process for a newly mixed solution of another pump unit or one pump unit are done.
