PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of lubricating oil while preventing the lowering of pressure in a housing due to the rotation of a shaft relative to the housing by providing a passage for surely functioning as an air path. SOLUTION: This bearing unit comprises a radial bearing 33 for supporting the shaft 31 in the peripheral direction, a thrust bearing 34 for supporting the shaft 31 at one end in the thrusting direction, the housing 37 provided outside the radial bearing and the thrust bearing and filled with viscose fluid 42, a seal member 40 formed integrally with the housing 37 for sealing and storing the radial bearing and the thrust bearing and having a shaft insertion hole 41 through which the shaft is inserted, and the passage 51 formed between the housing 37 and the radial bearing 33 for communicating one end in the thrusting direction with the other end of the shaft protruded from the radial bearing to exhaust air from the housing.
