PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintenance performance by preventing deformation at fin in high-pressure water cleaning without increasing passing resistance. SOLUTION: In this roof installation type air conditioner for a railroad vehicle which comprises two refrigerating cycles composed of compressors 5, outdoor heat exchangers 6, pressure reducing devices and indoor heat exchangers 7 in a housing, and in which the heat exchangers are loaded in the housing in an inclined state, the outdoor heat exchangers 6 comprise heat transfer tubes 1 arranged in a plurality of rows in the air passing direction and fixed to the fins 2, and a distance from the front edge 3 of the fin 2 to the center of the heat transfer tube 1 of the front row is shorter than a distance from the rear edge 4 of the fin 2 to the tube center of the heat transfer tube 1 at the end of the row.
