PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound recording device in which a state from performing sound recording start operation to actual sound recording processing can be informed to an operator. SOLUTION: The device includes a recording means for recording a music signal input from the outside in an optical disk, a sound recording start operating means for making the recording means start recording operation, a time lag setting means for setting time lag having arbitrary length from operation of the sound recording start operating means to start sound recording for the optical disk by the recording means, and a time lag displaying means for displaying length of the time lag set by the time lag setting means, after sound recording operation is performed and the prescribed time elapses, actual sound recording is performed.
