PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake fluid pressure device enabling smooth restart by removing residual pressure when a pressure reducing valve fails. SOLUTION: A wheel cylinder comprises two first wheel cylinders capable of intensifying pressure by a hydraulic actuator and a master cylinder and two second wheel cylinders capable of intensifying pressure only by the hydraulic actuator. The first wheel cylinder is directly connected to the master cylinder via a change-over valve. The brake fluid pressure device is provided with a forcedly pressure reducing means for discharging working fluid inside the second wheel cylinder in the side suffering communication failure out of the two second wheel cylinders to a reservoir without using the pressure reducing valve in the side suffering the communication failure out of the pressure reducing valves when the communication failure occurs in either one of the pressure reducing valves connected to the second wheel cylinders.
