The tool has multiple molded teeth (12-16) successively arranged in a feed direction, where each molded tooth has a tooth profile with two tooth flanks and a tooth head protruding outwards radially by the tooth axis and connecting the tooth flanks. The tooth profile has a radial tooth head that is pointed outwards than a tooth profile of the molded teeth proceeding in the feed direction, where the tooth profile provides distance or intermediate space between the tooth flanks. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing or reworking of a thread.
