A method for fabricating an LCD is provided to improve fabrication efficiency by fabricating the LCD through 4 mask processes to which a lift-off method is applied. A gate electrode is formed on an insulating substrate(51). An active layer(57P), a source electrode(61Pb)/drain electrode(61Pc) are sequentially stacked on the substrate including the gate electrode, with a gate dielectric layer interposed therebetween. A passivation layer and a mask for exposing the drain electrode are sequentially formed on the substrate including the source/drain electrodes. The passivation layer exposed by the mask is etched to form a contact hole exposing the drain electrode. A transparent conduction layer(65) is formed on the drain electrode and the mask exposed by the contact hole. The mask and the transparent conduction layer on the mask are removed to form a pixel electrode filling the contact hole and connected to the drain electrode. |
