<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which retains durability under high temperature and high humidity, does not have a planar defect, and can adjust optical characteristics in desired ranges, to provide an optical compensating sheet using the film, to provide a polarizing plate, and to provide a liquid crystal display device equipped with at least the same. <P>SOLUTION: This cellulose acylate film is characterized by containing two or more UV ray absorbents having specific structures, and satisfying the following relation (B): 5.0×DS-6.7≤average log P≤5.0×DS-5.1 ä average log P is an average value of octanol/water distribution coefficients (hereinafter log P) represented by the equation (A) of the UV ray absorbents [W<SB>n</SB>is the weight fraction of the n-th UV ray absorbent; (log P)<SB>n</SB>is the log P of the n-th UV ray absorbent]; DS is the acylation degree of the cellulose acrylate}. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
