<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve sex-discriminated insemination in a commercially practical manner with reduced dosage of sperm. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing mammals of predetermined sex comprises the following steps; (a) a step to collect sperm cells from a male mammalian species, (b) a step to determine the sexual characters of multiple sperm cells, (c) a step to select sperm cells by the determined sexual characters, (d) a step to establish a selected artificial insemination sample having about 10 to about 50% of the sperm cell number compared with typical unselected artificial insemination sample, (e) a step to insert the selected artificial insemination sample into a female mammalian species, (f) a step to inseminate at least one ovum in the female body of the animal species at a statistically comparable success level (p>0.1) based on the typical unselected artificial insemination dose and (g) a step to produce the offspring mammals of desired sex. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
