PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to freely control the surface hardness and the hardness distribution of the crosssectional hardness in a predetermined depth from the surface of a rubber crosslinked molding and to enhance the degree of freedom of hardness design of a core surface and crosssectional hardness distribution when using the rubber crosslinked molding as the core of a golf ball.
SOLUTION: In the rubber crosslinked molding for the golf ball obtained by crosslinking and shaping a rubber composition containing a rubber including a base material rubber, fillers, and an organic peroxide, and its compounded material into a spherical body comprising one or more layers, a monomer is impregnated into the crosslinked molding, either one or both of the chemical reactions of (i) chemical reaction of the monomer and the rubber and/or its compounded material, (ii) the chemical reaction of the monomer itself occur(s), and the depth by which the monomer is impregnated from the surface of the crosslinked molding to the inside of the same is at least 0.3 mm. The manufacturing method of the same is also disclosed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
