<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging element capable of securing the number of pixels although being capable of performing high-speed photography. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging element has a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form, and each pixel has a photodiode 30 which photoelectrically converts incident light and outputs signal charges, a plurality of signal charge holding portions (M0, M1, and M2) which hold the output signal charges, write object switching means (SW0-a, SW1-a, and SW2-a) of making the choice of writing signal charges outputted at different times to the respective signal charge holding portions, and readout object switching means (SW0-b, SW1-b, and SW2-b) of selecting one signal charge holding portion out of which signal charges are read out from the plurality of signal charge holding portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
