PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposer capable of suppressing leaking of water and garbage stored in a storage tank to outside. SOLUTION: The disposer is constituted of a transfer chamber 14 for transferring garbage to a garbage disposal device, which transfer chamber 14 has a two-stage structure comprising a storage tank 4 for storing garbage crushed by a crusher 5 as well as city water W and a waste water tank 8 that houses the storage tank 4. If an overflow switch 73 detects a water level not lower than an overflow water level W3 in the storage tank 4, the water supply from a water supply member 10 is stopped, and thereby water shower from a shower member 13 into the storage tank 4, water supply from a water spray member 20 into the crusher 5, and the flow of the city water W from the crusher 5 into the storage tank 4 are also stopped. If the water level in the storage tank 4 further rises beyond the overflow water level W3, the city water W in the storage tank 4 is discharged via a water discharge port 40 equipped with a waste water filter net 41 into the waste water tank 8.
