PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing dicyclohexyl disulfide without affecting the environment. SOLUTION: The method for producing dicyclohexyl disulfide comprises the following process: Sodium disulfide and chlorocyclohexane are reacted with each other in a hydrous solvent to synthesize the dicyclohexyl disulfide. Subsequently, insolubles as a byproduct is extracted from the reaction mixture followed by separating an oily layer from the reaction mixture, and part or the whole of the remaining aqueous layer is used again for the further reaction between sodium disulfide and chlorocyclohexane.
