PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap type motor in which space factor in ordered winding can be enhanced while achieving miniaturization, high efficiency and high output, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The axial gap type motor comprises a stator 21 having teeth 24b composed of magnetic bodies arranged in the circumferential direction around a predetermined axis of rotation and coils U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2 wound around the teeth 24b, and a rotor opposing the tip of the teeth 24b of the stator 21 through a predetermined air gap and rotating about the predetermined axis of rotation. The coils U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2 of different phases overlap at the coil ends located on the radial inside and outside of the teeth 24b.
