PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a display device, with which a pair of substrates is certainly stuck to each other. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the display device which has the pair of substrates stuck to each other via a sealing material 15 arranged in a frame shaped sealing material forming region 17 has: a step of arranging a screen printing plate 11 having a printing pattern 13 corresponding to the sealing material forming region 17 on which the sealing material 15 is formed on a substrate 14; and a step of forming a plurality of island-shaped seal patterns 21, separated from one another, on the sealing material forming region 17 of the substrate 14 via the printing pattern 13 arranged on the screen printing plate 11. With this construction, an effect to stabilize the come out rate of the sealing material 15 and the width of the sealing material forming region 17 is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
