PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a door capable of preventing large shock from being applied to it even if a tip of a lock bar comes into contact with the ground surface when conveying while the lock bar protrudes from the door and preventing a component from being damaged. SOLUTION: This lock device for the door is composed of a main body operation part 5 provided at a position within close reach on an end face on the opposite side to a turn pivotally supporting side of the door 3 on one side to be closed at a tip of double doors opening outward 3, 4, a slide fitting 6 attached to the main body operation part 5 so as to elevate and lower freely in the vertical direction, the lock bar 9 supported on a U-shaped angle 7 positioned on an inner side at an upper end of the door 3 on one side so as to urge vertically freely and energized upward by a coil spring 8 provided in the angle 7, and a wire 10 for linking the lock bar 9 with an upper end of the slide fitting 6.
