PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertically circulating parking apparatus which can prevent a vehicle from entering corner cut sections on both shoulders of a cage without damaging the vehicle due to contact of the vehicle with vehicle entry inhibiting members. SOLUTION: The vertically circulating parking apparatus is formed of: a pallet 15 for loading/unloading a vehicle; a front cage frame and a rear cage frame 13 arranged on back and forth edges of the pallet 15; a hanging shaft 14 extending back and forth in the pallet 15 to connect both upper portions of the respective cage frames together; the vehicle entry inhibiting members 22 which are arranged at upper left and right corners of the rear cage frame 13 located on a vehicle entry side, and make at least back and forth swayable with respect to the rear cage frame 13; a detecting device 23 for detecting rocking of the vehicle entry inhibiting members 22; and a loading/unloading guiding device 44 which is operable when sway of the vehicle entry inhibiting members 22 is detected by the detecting device 23, and generates loading/unloading guide, based on a detection signal.
