<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a torque output of a motor 3 from being changed, when a power storage device 5 stores the power generated by a generator 2, in a hybrid automobile HEV including a constitution wherein the generator 2 and the motor 3 are connected together by a matrix converter 4. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage device 5 is connected in the branched state between the matrix converter 4 and the motor 3 through an inverter 6.
