PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data transmission system that transmits a photographic image to a server at a remote place through a network, in which various settings needed to transmit the image data and operation to structure the network are facilitated. SOLUTION: Errors occurring to a path where the image data are transmitted are detected and classified by error factors, and error numbers are allocated. If an error occurs, an error number is displayed on a first display device capable of always performing display throughout operation, and detailed explanation for the error which corresponds to the error number is displayed on a second display device in response to user's operation.
