PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable piezoelectric exciter in which distortion to be applied to the projection of an electrode on a lateral side of a piezoelectric substance is eliminated when thermocompression-bonding a shim and the piezoelectric substance, yield is improved and a bonding strength is increased by the shim structured to be bonded by uniform pressing, and a feeder line can be secured without fail. SOLUTION: By providing an opening or a step in a portion projected by an electrode on the lateral side of the piezoelectric substance to be stuck to the shim of the piezoelectric exciter, the piezoelectric substance is structured to avoid the projection of the electrode on its lateral side, distortion power is eliminated by making pressing force uniform when thermocompression-bonding the shim and the piezoelectric substance with an adhesive layer interposed in-between, the strength of adhesion is increased between the shim and the piezoelectric substance, and the piezoelectric substance is prevented from cracking or being cracked.
