PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can be made compact by making lenses constituting an anamorphic optical system small in constitution to pick up an image formed by the anamorphic optical system whose magnification differs in two directions orthogonal to an optical axis and orthogonal to each other, and to provide an optical device and a lens mounted on the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: In the anamorphic optical system 100 where a third lens 103, a fourth lens 104 and a sixth lens 106 are anamorphic lenses, the plane shape of a first lens 101 that is a meniscus lens disposed nearest to an incident side is formed to be non-circular, for example, nearly oval by notching an area through which a light beam forming an image on an imaging device 130 does not pass.
