To maintain foraminous non-corrodible metal plates 12 of an endless conveyer in horizontal planar and contiguous relationship when the plates move beyond supporting tracks 14, supports 21 are pivotally mounted at the ends 14a of the supporting tracks. The free ends of the pivoted supports engage cams 19 connected to each sprocket 16 which guide rollers 15 as they circle a drive shaft 18. The driving chains of the conveyer include rollers 10 which engage sprockets 17 and side tracks 11. By providing that the rises on cams 19 register with the spaces between the teeth of guide sprockets 16, each conveyer plate 12 positioned at 15b is properly supported until a roller 15 thereof is engaged and supported by the guide sprockets. |
