PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the producing amount of formaldehyde and to manufacture a mold having sufficient strength within a predetermined hardening time by increasing the hardening speed of a binder without degrading the hardening speed. SOLUTION: The binder composition contains acid-curable resin, and also contains a bark extracting composition extracted from a bark with solvent. The bark-extracted composition exhibits a formaldehyde capturing effectiveness and a hardening promoting acting. The bark of acacia, qubracho, radiatapine or the like is preferable as the bark.
