Silicon oxide containing solid of high specific surface

摘要

Preparation of a solid (I) containing silicon dioxide includes the stage of contacting at least one precursor (II) for SiO2 with at least one structure former in a liquid medium. The novelty is that the structure former comprises a polyethyleneimine (PEI) or a mixture of two or more PEI's. Also claimed are (I) obtained by the process; and the use of PEI (or a mixture of PEI's) as structure former in the preparation of solids containing SiO2.
