<p>The planner has a central planning unit comprising a central database with data such as three-dimensional geometric data, for a crane to be used. A calculation module of the planning unit calculates a loading torque developed with an operation, where the central planning unit performs simulation and calculation of the operation. Clients input and output the data and communicate with the central planning unit by an Internet. The calculation module uses a same physical model such as load torque limitation of the crane used. An independent claim is also included for a method for planning an operation of a crawling crane.</p>
