A process for making an inorganic agglutination compound comprises mixing waste mineral fines (such as chromite or coal fines) with finely ground waste quartz and treating the mixture with an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide at an elevated temperature. The product may be subsequently treated to produce blocks, pellets or lumps. |
