PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a developer for electrostatically charged image development which are excellent in an electrostatic charging property, image density, low-temperature fixing property, offset resistance, and blocking resistance and also have excellent dispersion of a releasing agent, and a releasing agent containing urethane modified polyester resin used for the toner and developer for electrostatically charged image development. SOLUTION: The releasing agent containing urethane modified polyester resin for toner is obtained by adding an ethylene homopolymer of 800 to 2,000 in number average molecular weight (Mn) measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and of≤1.5 is weight average molecular weight/number average molecular weight (Mw/Mn) as a releasing agent when a polyester resin (A) for high polymerization, a low-molecular polyester resin (B), and a polyvalent isocyante compound are mixed and subjected to reaction.
