PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient management method for image data in an electronic camera. SOLUTION: An imaging device 2 photoelectric-converts an object image into an image signal. The image signal processed by an imaging processing section 3 is given to an analog/digital converter 4, which outputs a photographing image expressed the object image. A CPU 15 allows an image processing section 6 to generate a basic image from the photographing image and allows a removable recording medium 7 to record the basic image. The CPU 15 allows the image processing section 6 to a simple image whose number of pixels is smaller than that of the basic image from the photographing image or the basic image and allows an image recording 14-2 in a flash memory 14 to record the simple image. Here, number of pixels of the simple image is decided on the basis of number of pixels of the image able to be displayed on an LCD display device 13. Further, the CPU 15 copies all the simple images recorded in the image recording section 14-2 and records them to the removable recording medium 7. |
