<p>A receiver with the capability of blind channel searching comprises a tuner, a demodulation device, a first memory device, a second memory device, a control unit, and application. The control unit directs the tuner to scan a frequency to receive RF signals in the frequency range. The demodulation device generates baseband data comprising information about the received RF signals. The baseband data is stored in the first memory device. The control unit accesses the baseband data stored in the first memory device and executes the application estimating possible channel parameters on the basis of the baseband data. According to the possible channel parameters, the control unit directs the demodulation device to lock on to the channels in the frequency range and to evaluate channel parameters. The control unit stores the channel parameters into the second memory device for future use.</p> |
