PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber-made HDD arm stopper reducing its adhesiveness to a swing arm with which it contacts without substantially damaging intrinsic low repulsive character of a rubber material, and excellent in low outgassing property. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the rubber-made HDD arm stopper, the surface roughness (Ry) of the contact surface of the rubber-made HDD arm stopper made of a fluororubber or an ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer rubber with the swing arm is molded or treated after the molding to be 2-500μm, then the contact surface is irradiated with a high dose electron beam of 1.5-10 MGy at a low acceleration voltage of 80-300 kV to make the surface hardness of the contact surface to be 60-80 Hv.
