PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the ink jet recorder by which a sharp recording result is obtained even when information of any attribute among facsimile information, copy information and image recording information is received. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of recording data, an attribute of data is discriminated and when the recording data are facsimile data received by a facsimile equipment or monochromatic copy data requiring monochromatic copying based on the discriminated result, a drive waveform of a recording head (waveform of a data signal Sd) corresponding to data of one pixel is processed such that the waveform includes two or more pulses and two or more drops of recording ink corresponding to number of pulses are jetted. In this case, recording density to record facsimile data or monochromatic copy data is set higher for recording than the case with recording other data than the facsimile data or monochromatic copy data. |
