The device has a system of multiple data processing units (101), and physical data exchange connections (102) between processing units, which have a memory unit for receiving and delivering objects with processing units and memory units. The memory unit has multidimensional addressed electronic data. A virtual network is formed, in which the processing units are formed as a torus-arrangement of multiple memories with d-dimensions, and in each memory unit an associated routing table is formed with d-sub tables. The electronic reference information containing inputs have concerning communication connections of a memory unit for other memory units. The electronic reference information containing inputs are formed under use of a base for the a-dimension of the torus arrangement in the associated routing table. An independent claim is also included for a method for searching a data processing unit on a search request.
