A polymeric material, such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyetherketone (PEK), polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), polyetheretherketoneketone (PEEKK). polyetherketoneetherketoneketone (PEKEKK), which includes phenyl moieties, ketone moieties and ether moieties in the polymeric backbone of the polymeric material, wherein the difference between the nucleation temperature Tn and the glass transition temperature Tg of the polymeric material is greater than 23{C. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the polymeric material, wherein at least one monomer has a purity of at least 99.7 area%. |
