A dust sensor and an apparatus for detecting a degree of dust collection comprising the same are provided to measure the amount of dust collected on an air filter simply at a low cost. Two dust collection faces of an air filter face each other. Two electrodes of a dust sensor(120) are disposed with a space, which is defined between the two dust collection faces, therebetween. The dust sensor outputs the capacitance between the two electrodes, which is varied according to change of dielectric constant due to a degree of dust collection. A signal processing circuit detects the degree of dust collection of the air filter based on the change of capacitance outputted from the dust sensor.
