A method for paying charges for paid T-DMB(Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service and a communication terminal for performing the method are provided to supply the paid T-DMB service to a T-DMB terminal which is incapable of performing interactive communication. A short-range communication unit(410) provides a short-range communication function with a T-DMB terminal. A receiver(420) receives a payment request query for a paid T-DMB service from the T-DMB terminal. A payment processor(430) transmits the received payment request query to a financial server by using a mobile server, and receives a payment confirm signal from the financial server. An authentication processor(440) authenticates the T-DMB terminal so that the authenticated terminal may use the paid T-DMB service according to the received payment confirm signal.
