A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to maintain a constant signal characteristic of a scan pulse by forming auxiliary driving cells before a first gate driving cell and after the last gate driving cell. A liquid crystal display device includes an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel, plural gate driving cells(131-1 to 131-n), and first and second auxiliary driving cells(132,133). Plural gate lines are formed on the LCD panel. The gate driving cells sequentially supply scan pulses to the gate lines. The first auxiliary driving cell supplies a high level driving signal from a timing controller to a first gate driving cell. The second auxiliary driving cell receives the high level driving signal from a last gate driving cell.
