In a slip-ring connector having separate connecting systems for load currents and for lowfrequency currents (as used, for example, to provide power and telephonic communication, respectively, for a crane cabin), the two systems are so releasably mechanically interconnected that, when the low-frequency connecting system is removed, the load current connecting system continues to function without any modification. The load current system may comprise two mutually insulated concentrically mounted bushes 3 and 4, insulatingly mounted on a fixed hollow shaft 1 with the latter bush earthed, and comprising flange portions making sliding contact with rotatably mounted mutually insulated brush assemblies 9 and 10 (see Figs. 2, 3, not shown). The low-frequency current system may comprise a plurality of double-sided ring annuli 21 mounted on an insulating cylinder and pin 18, and making contact with double-contact collectors 22, slidably mounted on pillars 24, carried by bearing discs 28 and 23, which, in turn, are rotatably mounted on the insulating cylinder and pin 18. The releasable mechanical connection between the two systems may comprise a bolt 20 connecting the two stationary parts, shaft 1 and pin 18, and a dog 25 formed on the bearing disc 23, for engaging a hole in a driving disc 26 bolted to the rotating brush assemblies 9 and 10. |
