METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VIDEO COMPRESSION USING AN ITERATIVE ENCODING ALGORITHM

A method and a system for compressing video using an iterative encoding algorithm are provided to change a coding rate dynamically and utilize existing various algorithms. A coding rate of at least a portion of received video data is dynamically changed based on at least one quantization vector while the received video data are compressed. The quantization vector for the received video data is scaled(508). The coding rate of the vide data is adjusted by using a pruned tree structure or a low-density parity check(LDPC) code while the compression is being performed. Loop filtering is performed with respect to at least one macro-block of the received video data.
