ERROR CONCEALMENT METHOD OF IMAGE TRANSMISSION THROUGH DIGITAL WATERMARKING

A method for hiding image transmission failure using digital watermarking is provided to analyze an image, create information about loss recovery, and to insert the information into the image instead of employing a typical interpolation scheme. An image to be transmitted is divided into 8x8 blocks in order to insert a watermark through a method for hiding image transmission failure by using a digital watermarking scheme. A DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) is performed with respect to the divided blocks. The frequency subject to the DCT is quantized. A quantization coefficient is selected from quantized values. The quantization coefficient is inserted into the same row of a column except for a neighboring column of the blocks.
