An electrical connector assembly comprises insulating blocks 2, 4 (Fig. 2), each of which has contacts 7, 9, held in a row of apertures 6, 8, the contact ends 10 of the contacts 9 projecting beyond the face 4<SP>1</SP> of the block 4 to lie between protective flanges 22, 24 integral therewith which orientate and engage with recesses 14<SP>1</SP>, 16<SP>1</SP> on the block 2. The apertures 6, 8 are oversize to allow limited lateral movement of the contacts 7, 9, axial movement being prevented by collars 15 and barbs 13. The flanges 22, 24 (Fig. 1) are resilient, the groove 26 being forced over the rib 18. The connector blocks may be stacked and secured to plug boards (Fig. 4, not shown).
