A system and a method for providing a remote connection application service of an IC card are provided to enable a user to use the IC card connected to a remote user PC in an online site or an offline member shop by enabling a server to authenticate the user or process payment based on data received from the IC card. An IC card(200) includes an IC chip for storing ID, payment, and royalty information of the user. The remote user PC(300) is connected to the wired or wireless network through a network connector(330), and is equipped with an IC card reader(310) and a program(320) for operating the IC card. The sever(400) includes a financial facility server, an Internet site server, and a security management server. A server terminal(410) is a payment terminal, a POS(Point Of Sale) terminal, a kiosk, an ATM(Automated Teller Machine), a traffic terminal, an information terminal, and a vending machine. A portable terminal(100) of the user and the server terminal support more than one of local reading mode such as an infrared, wireless, NFC(Near Field Communication), and Bluetooth mode. |
